Miyazaki Prefecture, located in the southwest of Kyushu Island, has a mild climate. Since it faces the Pacific Ocean, you can enjoy many marine sports in the summer. During the winter, it is home to the southernmost ski resort in Japan, where you can enjoy winter sports. Various sites in Miyazaki Prefecture appear in myths and legends. Kagura is a traditional performing art that still remains today and there are many attractive historical sites for tourists, such as the Saitobaru Burial Mounds. Miyazaki also attracts people with its variety of agricultural products cultivated in the warm climate, including fully ripe mangos, cucumbers and green peppers, as well as its farm products such as local chicken and Miyazaki beef and many other specialties.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
